Top questions from schools

How much do Airsupply charge?

The Airsupply fee is much lower than a typical recruitment agency fee and should allow you to save significant spending on your supply teachers. Our fee is included in the day rate you see and there are no hidden charges.

How is the cost to the school calculated?

You are free to offer the role to any of the teachers who submit interest, and you will see their total day cost, distance from your school and profile before you decide. The daily cost for the teacher will include what the teacher wishes to earn per day (day rate), employers NI contributions, employers pension contributions (if they have opted in) and the Airsupply fee.

Can I interview teachers before making a formal offer?

You can view a supply teacher’s profile before offering them the role. If you have a vacancy that you require to interview for (usually a longer term role) you can do this before hiring them.

How does Airsupply check each teacher?

We follow the most stringent, safer recruitment practices as set out by the main recruitment industry bodies. The following checks are completed before a teacher can express interest in roles:
  • ID documents verified by video conference (post-Covid) or face to face interview
  • Teacher Qualifications
  • Two recent references which we check directly - one will be the most recent employment
  • DBS (including overseas police checks if more than 3 months outside UK in last five years)
  • Right to Work (most often through a UK passport or Visa)
  • CV for ten years, without any gaps
  • No disqualification
  • Teacher's address
